Jerri K. Neighbors

Jerri Neighbors brings more than 20 years of experience to Neighbors & Howell in all areas of family law, civil litigation, and bankruptcy.

Jerri was raised in Northeast Texas and moved to Oklahoma in 1995 after graduating from Texas Christian University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Communications and Human Relations. Jerri attended law school at Oklahoma City University School of Law, graduating in 2001 cum laude. She received a number of academic excellence awards and was honored on the Faculty Honor Roll and a member of the Moot Court Honors Board.

She began her legal career while still in law school at a personal injury firm of learning all aspects of civil litigation. She became a volunteer for Oklahoma Lawyers for Children and it was through this volunteer work that she developed a passion for family law. Representing children whose parents were accused of abuse and neglect, she served as a voice for the children. During her service, she was awarded the 2005 Mona Lambird Service to Children Award, being recognized for her countless hours of service to the children she represented.

When she left her personal injury practice in 2008, she began working as a consumer advocate, assisting clients with bankruptcy, foreclosures, and Fair Debt Collection Practices Act matters. Eventually, she expanded her practice to incorporate her love for family law.

Jerri joined the law firm of Soderstrom & Associates in August 2022 where she continued to follow her passion serving those going through divorce, child custody, and related issues. It was when now Judge Traci Soderstrom took the bench and closed her practice, that Jerri and Kellie formed Neighbors & Howell to continue the vision that the former Soderstrom & Associates was founded upon. Jerri is more than just an advocate for her clients and values the relationships she develops with each client with many returning to her to handle additional legal issues.

Jerri stays busy away from the firm with her three very active children. On the weekends, she can be found courtside throughout the Midwest watching her girls play volleyball, at various barns watching her daughter show horses, or at the baseball field cheering on her son. On the rare weekend when the kids are not playing ball, Jerri can be found at the barn enjoying her hobby of horseback riding. She also scuba dives and loves to travel anywhere with a beach.

Jerri is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association and is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Western, Eastern, and Northern Districts of Oklahoma.
